Our friend Joe Hunt headed to the Swadlincote Festival of Transport. A small show held in the middle of a Derbyshire town ran by the Box Motor Club. It always attracts a massive range of cars and is a brilliant day out.
Thanks to Joe for taking some great photos of some of the cars there.
There was modern and old cars mingled together
This perfect Mk1 Cab was stunning
This Willy’s looked like a whole heap of fun!
A XK150 is on a lot of dream car lists
A lot of clubs lined up in style
There was a fair few air-cooled VW’s there. This single coloured Split was great.
Perfect lines on the XK.
A car once owned by myself. I love a Sprint.
Quite a contrast. Stingray v’s Baywindow!
Some people turned on the style.
Elegant and powerful. There is nothing like a Rolls Royce.
Some great pin striping on this Type 3.
Not many of these left. Most ended up wrapped around trees!
Cortina’s have a great appeal and always look fantastic.
Unmolested Austin Seven.
The ever present Moggie.
Some cars from Clique 53 made the short drive to the event.
